car bumpers
A car's bumper is one part of its safety system, and the plastic being used has this task to fulfill (it takes most of the impact during a collision). Their primary purposes are to reduce or prevent damage to the body and occupants of the vehicle, as well as making it safer for the pedestrian through padding between the bumper and vehicle chassis, which reduces impact force in a collision. Thanks to technological advancements, safety features like energy-absorbing materials, reinforced steel structures and even sensor technology for parking assistance have been integrated. This meant car bumpers became more than just safety features, they were also returning vehicle functionality. Being the only means of defence between your car and various objects at low speed while driving, bumpers absorb some of impact by taking a hit itself rather than causing damage to more expensive mechanical components.
