steering rack
The steering rack is a central part of the modern vehicle steering system as it changes rotary motion from the steering wheel, into linear motion to turn the wheels. This part often is a metal bar with ball joints on each end that attach it to the tie rod ends. It is the one responsible for fine control, good steering feel, agility and vehicle stability. Its technological solutions include a space-saving steering rack design, hard-wearing materials capable of surviving the rigors of rough road surfaces and difficult conditions, precision-engineered components for consistent input and output. Applications range from passenger cars to commercial trucks, which require reliable and smooth steering.
