alternator
An alternator is common in automotive and industrial systems usually used as a way to convert mechanical energy into electrical power. At its most basic the alternator uses electromagnetic induction to generate Alternating Current, AC, which is then rectified through a Diode Bridge to Direct Currency, DC specifically to charge the battery and power the electrical systems. It is used to maintain a charge in, operate the electrical systems of and provide power for electrical appliances in vehicles used at industrial sites. Some technological features of the alternator include having it stator, rotor, diodes, voltage regulator, and pulley system which helps it to be more efficient as well as durable. Their use ranges from automotive to marine and aviation; these versatile machines find their application in practically every modern power system.
